Football fans are hardcore, week in week out, rain, snow or shine, there they are rooting for their favorite teams. Some fans have never been to an actual game, and some never will get the chance. This 100-year-old Chiefs fan finally got the chance to go to a game, she also has an adorable moment with her favorite player!

This 100-year-old lady is a die-hard Chiefs fan. Her son wrote the Chiefs saying she’d never been to a game and they responded in a huge way

The Chiefs have only been around since 1960 and 100-year-old, Melba Mills has been a fan since the very beginning! She never misses a game, cheering her team on from her home in, Bonner Springs, Kansas, where she’s lived on the same block her whole life!

Melba had always wanted to see a game in person, but she just hadn’t got around to it. That’s when her son decided he had to do something about that. For her 100th birthday, Melba’s son, Monte, wrote the Chiefs organization explaining the situation.

Not only did the Chiefs organization respond, but they also went above and beyond for the super-fan, sending a personalized jersey along with a special invite

The Chiefs organization was delighted to see such a loyal fan, so they responded with much more than a letter. First, they sent Chiefs announcer, Mitch Holthus, to Melba’s house with a custom jersey with the number 100 for her age. Ironically, the NFL had just celebrated it’s 100th birthday too!

After he gave her the jersey, Holthus invited Melba to come to Arrow Head as a guest of honor. The 100-year-old couldn’t believe it, she just hoped she could get a glimpse of Quarter Back, Patrick Mahomes, her favorite player. She even has a folder with clippings of all Mahone’s accomplishments in it!

The 100-year-old was treated like Chief’s royalty, but she still didn’t know if she’d meet her favorite player

September 22nd, Melba was being wheeled through Arrow Head in amazement. Announcer, Mitch Holthus, was by her side while she soaked it all in. Her face appeared on the jumbotron and the crowd cheered for the super-fan!

The whole team greeted their eldest fangirl, including Hall of Famer and Super Bowl IV winner, Bobby Mills, but the best was yet to come. That’s when Melba got the surprise of a lifetime!

It was a dream come true for the die-hard fan, but there was still one surprise left. Suddenly, her favorite player walked up

Quarter Back, Patrick Mahone walked up to the 100-year-old guest of honor with a teammate, TE Travis Kelce. They kindly talked to their guest of honor and even gave her the game ball!

Melba was thrilled to meet her favorite player, all though, the hilarious old lady wasn’t thrilled about his girlfriend!

“He wasn’t faithful when I found out he had a girlfriend, part of me just died.” Melba jokingly said about Mahone.
