It's amazing what a little makeup can do when it's applied the right way. She definitely doesn't look her age after she's done.

Women’s bodies go through a great deal of change as they age. And let’s face it, not all of them are that pleasant to experience.

In fact, things take a pretty hard turn in the “youthful appearance” department somewhere right around our 30-year mark. Thankfully, like with most things, there’s a “hack” for that.

We’re talking makeup, of course.

Makeup can become a lot trickier to apply once you get up there in years and the wrinkles set in. What once worked for your look before might now make you look like a badly colored cartoon character.

The good news is that those lovely ladies who have gone before us have picked up some pretty nifty beauty tricks as they’ve aged and they’re more than willing to impart their hard-earned knowledge.

Her name is Patti Cox Bailey and she’s 77 years old. Or, in her case, young.

You can immediately tell she has a zest for life and works hard to stay healthy, inside and out. When you first see her, Patti looks like a lot of other women her age.

You’ve probably heard someone say that and in a lot of ways, it’s true. However, with each passing year, facial skin goes through dramatic changes.

Things like uneven tones, droopy eyelids, dark circles, and of course, lines and wrinkles begin to appear.

Patti is sharing all the tips.

Like a lot of aging women, Patti had to learn how to apply her makeup differently at her age than when she was much younger. And let’s just say she knows what’s she doing.

In a video that’s now gone viral with more than 2.6 million views, she begins by telling viewers how important it is to use a natural oil to hydrate the skin.

Prep is an important part of the process.

Although her skin is already hydrated from the oil, she applies a small amount of natural moisturizer with sunscreen since she plans to use a powder foundation.

But before applying the makeup, Patti sets her hair in rollers. That way, it’ll be done by the time she’s done with her face.

A powdered foundation is key.

Patti then uses a brush to apply a glowing powder foundation to her face. Using a brush helps get the makeup into tiny lines and wrinkles, perfect for aging women.

The powder she uses gives her face a beautiful healthy glow.

Next up is the eyes.

She then applies color to her eyebrows, taking special care to follow their natural arch. From there, she adds a thin line of eyeliner to both the upper and lower lids.

It’s best to avoid heavy or thick eyeliner, as it doesn’t compliment an older woman’s features.

The devil is in the details.

For the next step, Patti adds a touch of soft-colored eyeshadow to the entire surface of the lids. With it evenly applied, she follows up with a darker yet coordinating color in the center creases.

To complete the eyes, she then applies the mascara.

Add some color to the cheeks.

Choosing a color of blush that works with her skin tone, Patti uses a large brush to gently apply it to her cheeks. R

ather than brush it on as most women do, she pats the blush onto her cheeks. The result? The color looks completely natural.

Give yourself a gorgeous do.

With her makeup complete, Patti turns her attention to her hair. She starts by removing all the rollers. Then, she kind of lets her hair fall softly into gorgeous curls.

Some key tips.

Throughout Patti’s video, she provides specific names of products and even suggests various websites she’s come across.

She’s quite a character, someone you can tell loves life. When she’s done with both the makeup and hair, you’d swear she had a facelift.
