Motherhood is a blessing – but not without its difficulties.
Babies come out so wonderfully cute and adorable but there are always two sides to a coin, right? And that other side can drive a mom crazy!
It doesn’t matter if it’s human moms or animal moms. They both experience the joy and torture of motherhood at the same time. Would you like to see proof?
Here are examples of animal moms, who perfectly capture what it’s really like to be a mom.
1. The “joys of motherhood”
Yeah, this dog mom has had enough about the “joys of motherhood.” There’s nothing joyful about seven mouths sucking on your nipples endlessly.
One thing is for sure with any baby, human or not, they will always be calling their moms. And once they have their mom in sight, they’ll be jumping all over her, biting her, pushing her, all in the name of play time.
Feeding your babies at the start can be magical. But when you do it everyday, with three kittens biting and tugging your nipples, it can become a chore this momma would like to finish soon.
Momma can’t wait for the day when her babies can start climbing on their own. Carrying six babies on her back while climbing is no easy feat and really bad on momma’s back.
5. This isn’t what I had in mind
“This isn’t what you told me motherhood was going to be. Did you have 12 babies all at once? 12 puppies feeding from you several times a day?”
Yes, even animal babies know this phrase. Of course, they say it in their own language. But they do it, too.
Where’s mommy? She’s buried beneath all those kitties, exhausted. Can she get up?
And it happens. You’re just doing your own thing, walking, strolling inside the house. Then your babies catch up to you, wanting something from you. And now, you’re slumped in the middle of the doorway, unable to move because all your babies are on top of you. So much for free time.
Time to feed now, babies. Don’t push each other. I said, don’t push each ot- wait, you’re not my baby!
Who better to understand you than your mommy best friend who gave birth the same time you did? Now you have someone to feel tired with, to protest with, and to just cry with.
11. Hello . . . Mommy . . . ?
This tired Mommy is over it, but babies just never give up.
There’s nothing she can do anymore. She’s trapped. By the babies. In the corner.
“They’re just feeding off of me. Why am I so exhausted?”
“Is it over yet? Oh, thank goodness. Can I rest now?”
I’ll take care of you, mom. I’ll shield your eyes from the sun!
16. Kids, you got feet, you know?
“You know, those webbed feet aren’t just for show. You can use them to swim, you know?”
17. The face of parenthood
This is the face of parenthood. And she’s only got one child for now. What would her face look like if she had two or more?
18. He just wanted some alone time
Dad finally found some alone time for himself. But the kids found him. Alone time is officially over.
Cat mom fell asleep just like that. She’s definitely super exhausted.
20. This is not what I expected
“Everyday is like this. When will they get tired of climbing all over me?”
21. Just one more, please…
The face moms make when the kids want another story. Moms just want to sleep!
Moms develop a lot of patience handling their kids. But sometimes, you just have to pull them to stop them.
The face moms make when they need to leave and their kids still want to stay. At least, they develop stronger legs when the kids do this.
What moms want to do when dinner is ready and the kids don’t want to eat it. Some moms stop themselves from doing it. And there are others who let it go.
25. Stay in your own spot
You show them where to sleep and where to eat and where to play. But they still do all those things on top of you.
Moms are still human and when they get fed up, someone’s gonna get an earful. Sometimes, the kids get it. And sometimes, they just wait for mom to finish and do whatever they want again.
27. Grab them by the ears
It doesn’t matter if the mom’s human or non-human, grabbing their kid by the ear. It always works.
If mom stays still long enough, maybe they’ll go away soon. Just have to stay still.
It doesn’t matter if she tells them one at a time. They will always come at the same time.
30. They’re finally sleeping
The look moms have when their brood finally sleep at the same time. Will she finally get to do her own thing? Or will she sleep, too?
31. Is this what I signed up for?
Momma thought she knew what she signed up for when she got pregnant. The look on her face says she doesn’t really know.
32. Daddy fills in the gap
Mom hadn’t been taking care of the kitties for awhile. Guess who they’re turning to next? That’s right. Daddy!
Momma’s been buried underneath all the kitties. Can Momma still breathe?
“What do you mean I had a baby? This is my baby? I was pregnant? I’m so tired.”
35. Gotta eat while they eat
A mom’s job is never done. Gotta eat while they eat, too.
36. No rest when the baby’s awake
Who says mom can rest when the baby’s awake? The house only gets to rest when the baby’s resting.
The babies are resting, finally. Because momma can get a break. Gotta recharge before they’re up and running again.
Play time with the kids always means having their limbs all over your face every time. And it’ll be that way for the next couple of years.
Sometimes, moms need their moms, too. And this time, she’s escaping to her mom so she can be away from her daughter.
They’re all over mom! And she’s trying to say something but the babies are all over her face!
41. Nature trips don’t exist anymore
She wanted some me time. Her baby wanted milk. So much for me time in nature.
42. What did I get myself into?
They only told momma about the good stuff. They never said anything about this.
It doesn’t matter where mom goes to hide. Her kids will always find her. ALWAYS.
44. It’ll be fun, they said
Yeah, sometimes, it’s fun. But sometimes, it’s far from being fun. Don’t kid yourself.
“They’ve been fed and they’re all asleep. Can I just lay here for a bit?”
46. The only private time
This is the only private time mom can have without hearing any complaining or whining. She’s hydrated and cool, no complaints about that.
Maybe locking her in an embrace will make her sleep faster. Sleep, baby, sleep. Now.
Meet Mommy’s shadow. She’s there everywhere, every second of the day.
Finally, mom gets to take a break from all the feeding. Enjoy dinner time, babies!
If she stays still long enough, will she become invisible? Will they not notice she’s been there all along?
