Funny apes hilariously freak out when hedgehog shows up
I've never actually seen a hedgehog, but if I did, I think I'd react exactly like these two gibbons did.

And when it comes to animals, there are few that are more interesting to interact with than monkeys and apes.

Their human-like tendencies and appearance are extremely captivating and create a sort of kinship that bridges the human-animal world.

At one wildlife park in the lake district of Keswick, England, two gibbons find themselves completely captivated by a hedgehog that made its way close to their exhibit.

The first of the apes to notice that there is some strange creature in the grass near their home is the white gibbon.

He walks over to the fence, staring at the little hedgehog.

The hedgehog, of course, has no idea that the ape is there and just continues to do whatever it is that hedgehogs do.

The gibbon, however, can’t let this go.

He jumps up and down and side to side, trying to understand what he is seeing.

At one point, the quick jumps don’t do enough to satisfy his curiosity and he makes a quick jolt towards a pole and bar that’s set up in his exhibit to play on.

He quickly scales to the pole and finds his way to the crossbar that sits between the two poles.

Then he hangs there from his long arms, possibly trying to figure out what exactly he was seeing over there by the fence.

Once the white ape leaves and hangs from the pole, the second ape makes his way over to the fence to see what has his friend so worked up.

This gibbon has black fur and is just an intrigued as his friend.

He makes quick movements when he sees the funny little creature and wastes no time in jumping and sitting and running around, reacting in a very similar fashion to the other ape.

Meanwhile, the white gibbon has made his way over to a large tree that sits in the middle of the exhibit and is watching the interaction between his friend and the hedgehog while hanging from a branch.

The white gibbon clearly wants to be involved once again in this strange encounter.

So he drops from the tree, which is ten to fifteen feet above the ground, and lands on his feet as if nothing happened.

To me, this is one of the coolest parts of the video.

I had no idea that these apes could just drop from heights like that and land on the hard ground so casually.

I’m can only imagine that they could drop from even higher if they wanted to.

Either way, the white gibbon comes back over to see what is going on and the two of them proceeded to dance around and stare at the hedgehog.

Finally, an employee of the park comes over to retrieve the little hedgehog and allow normalcy to return to the lives of the two apes.
