There’s something truly magical about babies. They have the power to bring out feelings we never even knew existed, with their innocence and beauty inspiring so much joy, both in their parents and anyone else lucky enough to see them. And even though they might not be able to talk right away, babies seem to know and understand certain things in ways we just can’t explain. Just like this adorable newborn girl, who is taking the internet by storm after an image of her smiling at her daddy started to go viral.
Sweet little Antonella was born to her Brazilian parents, Flávio Dantas and Tarsila Batista.
Before Antonella was born, her dad had developed a habit of speaking to her each and every day. “He always told her that he loved her so much,” revealed Tarsila, adding that Flávio would always greet his baby girl before leaving for work each morning and every time he got home too, promising to always love and protect her.
So, on the day little Antonella came into our world, she’d already spent many weeks and months hearing her daddy talk to her.
And shortly after the delivery, as doctors checked Antonella over to make sure she was healthy before handing her over to her parents, Flávio just couldn’t want to say hello to his little girl!
Antonella immediately recognized her father’s voice from all those little chats they’d had before, smiling brightly at the sound of her papa.
“They put her on top of me sleeping and as soon as he spoke to her, Antonella opened her eyes and smiled,” explained Tarsila.
Fortunately, a camera was standing by, ready to capture the wonderful moment and share it with the world, and both Flávio and Tarsila have shared it on their personal Instagram accounts, receiving lots of likes and joyful comments so far.
“I thought I knew what a feeling of true love was, until I looked at that most sincere smile in the world … it was [there] that I could be sure what love is,” wrote Flávio as the caption for his Instagram post.
To make the story even sweeter, little Antonella was born on August 11, which just so happens to be Father’s Day for Brazilians. Clearly, this adorable little one is destined to be a daddy’s girl.
Tarsila has called Antonella “a gift” and Flávio says all the love he feels for his girl is simply too big to fit inside his heart. These doting parents are absolutely delighted with their newborn, sure to shower her with love, care, and protection all her life, just as any parent should.
Meanwhile, before she was even a single day old, Antonella had already become a viral sensation and continues to attract positive comments and loving messages from people all over the globe.
And that’s part of the power of a newborn baby. Even when we aren’t connected to the child or family at all, we can still get a lot of genuine joy and happiness from this wonderful image, showing nothing but love and happiness.
