Many years into the future, we’ll all remember the great toilet paper shortage of 2020. People everywhere are making light of the bizarre situation, like this toilet paper toss put together by one bored filmmaker. He got a handful of people from all around the world, to film themselves virtually tossing toilet paper to each other.

Kai Freeman from Brisbane, Australia, put together the toilet paper toss out of boredom and got an amazing response

The video starts of with Kia running up to a roll of toilet paper in an open field and throwing it off-screen, it lands into the hands of a man in Paris, France, before he throws it so someone in Bolton, Canada. In an interview with Bored Panda, Kai explained why he came up with the idea:

“Honestly, I came up with the idea so that I would have something to do. I knew people around the world were experiencing the same thing I was, so I wanted to make a video that would show unity. Every day, I read sad news, so, in response, I wanted to do something positive.”

As the toilet paper gets tossed from country to country, people come up with their own clever ideas for how they throw it to the next one

Some people use their heads and feet as if they were playing soccer, while others use items to juggle and hit it to the next country.

When it gets comes back around to Paris, France, the girl hilariously uses a frying pan to bounce it and hit it to New York, where she uses a tennis racket.

My favorite one is when it gets to Edinburgh, Scottland, he puts it in the refrigerator and a man in Karlstad, Sweden, opens his fridge taking it out and passing it on.

When it gets to Skara, Sweden, it’s a man dressed in a bright green spandex costume

The man in the funny green costume passes it on until it pelts a man from Beau Bassin, Mauritius, in the head who’s just sitting at his desk minding his own business. He then gets hit by toilet paper rolls over and over again until he submits and passes it on.

When it gets to Donegal, Ireland, a man in a rugby uniform gets tackled by his young daughters before one takes the toilet paper away from him and passes it on.

The toilet paper then goes to a man in Ro Chi Minh City, Vietnam, who passes it to Bristol, England

The last two cities and countries are Plymouth, USA, then Guayaquil, Ecuador, who passes it back to Kai, in Brisbane, Australia, where it lands back on the wooden post it started from. The video then ends with some encouraging words that come onto the screen:

“Wherever you are in the world, we hope this made you smile, together we will get through this!”

Kai’s funny toilet paper toss already has almost 100k views in less than a week, with 1.5k who’ve liked it

In total, 50 cities and 30 countries were included in the making of the brilliantly clever video.
