Let’s step back first and get to know Ansley Burns.

Ansley is from Easley, South Carolina, a city in Pickens County of SC. It has a population of 20,000 people and the hometown of former MLB player Rob Stanifer, New England Patriots player Stanley Morgan, NASCAR race car driver Kyle Benjamin, and professional wrestler Bret “The Crippler” Watson.

Her mom, Stephanie, posted a video of Ansley singing Carrie Underwood’s “Cry Pretty” in the car on Facebook. Carrie Underwood got wind of the video and shared it on her Facebook page.

“Ansley, this is amazing! Everybody keep your eyes out for this girl!” Carrie wrote on her Facebook page.

The video, originally posted 0n August 2018 has received more than 1.4 million views and almost 25,000 shares.

She sings for the chorus at her school. She also loves to sing and pretend she’s on America’s Got Talent.

“I would love to sing for the rest of my life,” Ansley said.

She was eliminated at the end of the Judges Cut round and could not hide her tears when they told her. Simon gave her a hug and told her to practice, practice, practice and to keep focused.

She loves her sweet tea. And that was the first thing she looked for when she arrived in LA but was majorly disappointed.

“There’s no sweet tea anywhere [in LA], which is crazy,” Ansley said on her AGT interview.

When she was eliminated during the Judges Cut episode, her fans were so mad. And they took to Twitter to share their dismay.

Well, we don’t know if it was the public outcry or it was Simon’s plan all along, but viewers were surprised when Simon brought back Ansley as a Wild Card during the Quarter Finals.

This time, Ansley performed LeAnn Rimes’ “Swingin'” and didn’t get cut off by Simon at all. But he did have good words for her after the performance.

“You are a great singer. You’ve got the most amazing personality. Thank God you agreed to come back. Please God the country put you into the next rounds because you are what this show is all about. You are a little fighter and I’m really happy to see you back here,” Simon told Ansley.

“I’m so thrilled that you’re here. The last time I talked to you I made you cry. I love seeing you smile. You made us smile. You made America smile. You make the world smile,” Howie said.
