Skydiver gets hungry – has pizza delivered while 2000 feet in the air

February 13th, 2020

Life is full of possibilities. Why not jump?

We all have goals we want to achieve in life. While some may seem bigger than life, others can feel even bigger than that.

Now that’s pretty huge.

There are many old sayings that attempt to motivate us into doing what it is that we truly want to do: “If you can dream it, you can achieve it,” “dream big,” and “you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take,” etc.

We’ve heard them all before but it doesn’t make them any less true.

Still, seeing is believing.

Which is another saying but hear me out.

A lot of the times people deem certain things impossible simply because they haven’t seen anybody do it before. While the thought of doing something that many perceive as “impossible” is intimidating, it can also be exciting.

Who wouldn’t want to be the first person to achieve something so spectacular? One of the advantages we have nowadays when attempting to achieve these goals is evidence.

Technology has made it very difficult for events not to go unnoticed. Yes, it is a double-edged sword but that’s a discussion for another day. Let’s try and keep things on the up and up!

Instead of claiming we did something, we can show it! Take that, naysayers.

One woman is taking it upon herself to do some pretty unique and daring things in the sky. She also has the camera footage to back it up.

25-year-old McKenna Knipe is an actress and model. But she’s also something that you might not expect by judging from those titles alone. She’s also a skydiver!

It’s never a good idea to judge, people!

Jumping from 13,000 feet at Skydive City in Tampa, Florida, Knipe completed her first Canopy Relative Work (CRW) jump and her 300th skydive.

A CRW jump is where skydivers hang on to other skydiver’s parachutes. It’s been considered an “art form” and has been around for years.

CRW is not to be taken lightly. It’s a discipline that requires much skill. It is incredibly dangerous making what Knipe did all the more amazing.

But that is only part of the story. Knipe not only completed the jump on her birthday(!) but she had one of the divers, Brian Stempin, deliver a pizza to her midair!

Really, this video is heart-pounding. Stempin landing just above her is one of the most thrilling parts of the video. Talk about nerves!

While she may not be the very first person to eat while skydiving, I’m not too sure how many people can say that they’ve done so while another skydiver is attached to them. Not to mention the delivery of an actual box of pizza…

Another detail that made this entire experience pretty awesome is that Knipe just met Stempin shortly before he perched his parachute over hers thousands of feet in the air.

“I met Brian Stempin about two hours before we did the jump. Brian is what the skydiving world calls an experienced CRW Dawg.”

Knipe is known for her skydiving food reviews and he had the idea of delivering a pizza to her quite some time ago.

“He said he had the idea to deliver a pizza to me during a CRW jump for quite some time … so we met and immediately made it happen.”

She revealed that her friends, Anthony Zerbonia and Charlie Mather, picked up the pizza while Brian gave her “an hour-long safety debriefing.”
