Are you making chocolate-flavored dough or batter? Instead of using dusting flour, use cocoa powder instead.

Grease your spoon or measuring cup with oil. This way, the liquid mix won’t stick to the spoon and there will be less mess.

Wash your rice before cooking. This removes the surface starch content and helps you make the perfect rice.

4. Crumpled baking paper

Hate the way baking paper curls up when you place it on a baking tray? Crumple it and then smooth it out so it doesn’t curl up on the tray anymore.

Never use olive oil to sear or stir fry food. Olive oil has a low heating point and will burn when under heat for too long. Just use coconut, avocado, or canola oil.

Did you accidentally leave the cereal box open for days? And now it’s gone stale? What to do? Place it in the oven! It’ll be good and crispy after a few minutes.

When cooking with onion, garlic, ginger, and similar produce, always cook the garlic last. Garlic can burn easily, and that doesn’t taste good!

If you bought the lettuce with the stem still intact, submerge it in a container or glass of water. Cover the rest with a plastic bag. This will keep the lettuce for longer.

Does your recipe call for chocolate sprinkles but you don’t have any? Just get any chocolate bar and use a grater to make “sprinkles.”

Need an onion but don’t need all of it? Here’s how to make it last longer in the fridge. Spread butter on the cut side of the onion before putting it in the fridge.

12. Season last

When cooking mushrooms, let them brown first before adding any seasoning. Mushrooms carry a lot of water and adding salt will draw out the water and make it soggy. And don’t overcrowd your pan!
