The internet is a really hilarious place to be sometimes. One minute, you’re scrolling away rather aimlessly, and the next, you’ve come across a prank that has you in stitches.
If you think you’ve ever been the subject of a bad prank before, just wait until you see these ones. You’ll soon decide to let go of that grudge you’ve been holding since high school and move on – because there are definitely people out there who’ve had it worse than you!
This is a super creepy prank to play on passers-by. How do you even get inside a car seat to do that? Or are those surprisingly realistic fake arms? We need answers, please.
We’ll tell you something – this guy must be more amiable than the majority of bosses out there if his employees dared to do this when he took a week off work. They’ve created a throne out of keyboards and covered his desk in sheets of paper. And adults are supposed to be “mature”.
You need a bit of basic plumbing knowledge here – as in, enough to know how to unscrew your shower head and put a stock cube behind it. The result? Whoever takes the next shower is going to feel like they’ve become the main feature of a warming winter broth.
Already we’re sensing a trend here: a lot of pranks seem to be subjected to coworkers. Which suggests just how boring peoples’ jobs are. This person’s friend did this to her coworker’s car when they went on vacation. Just how many post-it notes would that have taken?!
5. Nicholas Cage on everything
If you get a day where the photocopier actually works as advertised, it’s a cause for celebration. Unfortunately for the people in this office, everything they photocopy will end up with Nicholas Cage’s head on it. How many prints would it take for you to realize?
In case you’ve been living under a rock since birth, the cup prank is essentially how it sounds: you place a load of cups on the floor, making it impossible to walk without kicking said cups. Why is this an issue, you wonder? Well, because the cups are full of water. As this person’s classmates are about to find out.
Whichever carpenter comes to install the new carpets in this place is going to think there’s some kind of voodoo scary stuff going on. Is this a step too far? Probably. Is it still hilarious? Very much so.
You thought the last cup was bad enough? This one’s even more dramatic –
and there’s an “artistic” design, with “2012” written in blue cups. Man, does 2012 feel like seven decades ago.
This is one of those pranks that makes you wonder how much time people really do have on their hands. It must have taken hours to slot all these trollies together and form them in a perfect circle around this car. Imagine having to move these all out the way, too.
This employee wanted to remind their boss exactly who should win employee of the year around here. Yep, those are hundreds of identical photos of said employee. Hopefully, all that paper and ink money came out of their own wallet.
The majority of us will agree here that Oreos are one of the top 5 cookies in the world. So why anyone would be as evil as this is beyond us! Imagine the disappointment of biting into an Oreo to taste… toothpaste. Absolutely vile.
Unbelievable as it may seem, not everyone is a fan of cats. This person evidently isn’t, so naturally, their coworkers decided to vamp up their desk space with kitten mania. Even their desktop background’s in on the fun.
This is one of those relatively harmless pranks that have a big impact. There’s no reason why you wouldn’t believe this was a real spider on your first glance, and it’s not like you’re in the position to athletically leap to safety. Wonder how many people this fooled?
If you’ve ever worked with rowdy people, you’ll know there’s nothing worse than doors slamming against walls. This person decided to scare their fellow employees sh*tless with an ingenious air horn doorstop. They won’t do that twice, will they?
15. Laptop liquid splatter
There are no words to describe how you’d feel if you returned to your office laptop to discover someone had spilt something on it. And then to learn that you’d actually been pranked… relief mixed with insane anger for sure! Hopefully, this victim was able to see the funny side of the prank!
We take the last air horn prank and raise you… this terrifying invention. Whoever sits on this chair is going to have the life scared out of them. Naturally, the chair will drop a bit when someone puts weight on it… and the rest is history.
Anyone would think this pot of white creamy substance is a delicious vanilla pudding. Of course, we all know that it’s actually mayo with sprinkles. Imagine taking a huge spoonful of that – gross.
Just because celebs are rich and famous, it doesn’t mean they’re automatically exempt from getting pranked. In fact, being in the public limelight probably makes them more susceptible than anyone. This Team Deadpool fan wore a Ryan Reynolds dress to meet Hugh Jackman. Just look at his face!
19. The spider who ate the cup
No, that’s not the name of the latest children’s storybook. It’s the actual supposed scenario that went down in this office. This is a pretty good prank, but almost
too exaggerated? Still, we’d believe that note in a heartbeat – and run for our lives.
Only an evil genius would decide to change the layout of a keyboard so it read “u mad bro?”. We’re all so used to the specific positions of certain keys, yet trying to type by memory and not by what you saw would be a nightmare. If this guy isn’t a touch typist, he’s in big trouble.
Looking for a way to make your colleague’s cubicle look like the least appealing place on earth? This should do it. There’s nothing like returning to work to find your desk space has been turned into a “chemical storage area”.
Here’s a classic April fool’s prank: sticky tape in place of toilet roll. I mean, no one’s going to believe for a second that this is toilet paper, but you’re kinda screwed if you’ve already sat down and got started before realizing. Suppose it’s ideal for anyone who wants to wipe and wax at the same time.
Going to college is the perfect opportunity to meet friends for life… and get pranked. These college guys decided to shrink wrap their buddy’s car while he was parked outside his dorm. Best hope he’s not running late for lectures tomorrow morning.
Imagine being certain that you parked your car in a certain location, only to return and not be able to find it… then discover it’s been disguised as a giant gerbil. Talk about a rollercoaster of emotions. It almost seems a shame to get the snow off, though – it’s kinda cute.
25. Pranking the neighbor
This person knew that her neighbor’s birthday was coming up, so she prepared a little surprise for her while she was at work. In case your eyesight isn’t that good, the sign reads “Happy 37th birthday Sandra! You almost ole’ buzzard. Oof, these two must really know each other well for her to get away with this.
This prank seems innocent enough until you actually picture the scenario: someone sits down at the desk and splats their hand down on their computer mouse without looking first. The result? Greasy bacon fingers. It could be worse – at least they get to eat the bacon.
This guy’s office mates decided his keyboard was looking a little plain. So, with his tastes in mind, they thought long and hard about how they could improve it for him while he was away. Eventually, they decided on the most adorable upgrade ever. Perfect… for an 8-year-old girl.
You don’t need a stapler for 364 days of the year, but you can guarantee that the one day you
will need it, you won’t be able to find it. Or, in this guy’s case, you’ll find it inside some Jello. Thanks to
The Office, this prank won’t ever get old.
Want to use the office phone? You’ve got to get through 37841700 layers of rubber bands first. The annoying thing about this prank is that the rubber bands go both ways, so there’s no simple removal method.
Yet another classic office prank is the old balloon trick. You wait until your coworker heads off on vacation, then proceed to fill their cubicle with balloons. Secure everything with cling film, and voila. Alternatively, this is a pretty extra way to celebrate somebody’s birthday.
Packing peanuts have one obvious use to most of us… but to pranksters, their uses are endless. This person’s truck ended up filled with packing peanuts, and we’d hedge to say he’d been pranked. Poor guy – you can’t even drive with that amount of foam covering the windshield.
It would be wrong to say that every single person who goes to the gym is self-obsessed, but you
could say that every single self-obsessed person goes to the gym. Obviously, mirrors can’t ever be out of order, but this gym wants people to focus on the important stuff. Like actually working out.
If you’re the sort of person who enjoys your desk to be bare except for a notepad and a computer, you’ll hate this prank. The best solution here is to probably bring in several birds to eat the seed. Although that could quickly lead to a different sort of mess to have to clean…
Here’s a way to really mess with someone’s mind. If you were really hungry and expecting Chinese food, would you really be happy with an iPhone? But at the same time, would you not be deeply disappointed to discover it was Chinese food after all?
35. Packing peanut explosion
It’s another “the coworker went on vacation” type of prank, and this one involves packing peanuts. The goal? Make as much mess as possible, of course. Months later, he’ll still be able to find the odd white foam thing on his desk space.
What sort of monster would do this?! If you think mustard is the food of the devil, you’d be devastated to bite into a sweet cupcake to discover what the yellow frosting actually was. What a waste of a perfectly edible cupcake.
Tip: don’t go to a seafood restaurant to celebrate your birthday. Or maybe don’t go to
this seafood restaurant for your birthday. Not unless you want to get served a raw fish with a candle in it as your “cake”.
Why any stranger would go around leaving fake $20 bills under keyboards is a mystery to everyone. Imagine the pain of thinking you’d struck lucky, only to find a printed troll face instead. One word: misery.
Now, giving the rat on these photos a good, long look, it’s easy to confirm that it’s fake. But if you walked in the door to have it right in your face, you’d scream before you realized what you were seeing. Horrible prank if you’re not a rat fan!
This practical joker took things to the next level when they took the label off an air freshener and wrapped it around a can of shrimp-scented bait spray. Imagine attempting to improve your home’s smell, only to make it massively worse. This’d linger for weeks, too.
This man was over the moon to discover that his VW Beetle fits in his home’s den. He asked fellow Redditors what they thought his wife might think of the situation… someone asked him if he was planning to move out, because he’d better get his stuff ready.
If you’ve never seen the Cola and Mentos challenge, search it on YouTube now. Mentos mint candies go off like a fizzy volcano when they come into contact with soda. This person’s friends must have hated them after they put Mento’s ice bombs in their drinks.
It’s safe to say this person definitely lost the prank war they had going on against their friend. Once your bike gets a wall built around it, there’s not much you can do to rectify the situation. There isn’t even a comeback that matches up to this.
They do say that keyboards make the perfect environment for growing things – though they usually reference bacteria. In this case, it only takes a warm, slightly dark environment to grow your own keyboard sprouts. Weirdest prank ever.
45. Eating “mayo from the jar”
This dad really had his kids fooled into believing he was eating mayonnaise straight from the jar. Little did they know that it was actually delicious creamy pudding. Who’s the real winner now?
Want an easy way to get demoted? Hang a picture of Kim Jong Un on the staff picture wall… right next to your boss. Yep, this’d go down well.
You know your day’s going well when you receive a surprise delivery of Krispy Kremes straight to your office… and then you receive the shock of your life in the form of raw veggies. There’s literally nothing in here worth eating! You’d never look at a Krispy Kreme the same way again.
This person’s evil genius of a son cut a paper spider out and taped it inside his mom’s lampshade. Dad says he’s never been more proud. Mom, on the other hand, probably kicked them both out for the night.
Now this is how to win a prank war! This man’s friend snuck a heinous portrait of him into a charity auction that he was attending. The best part is, it actually sold for $200. Must be weird to know that some random stranger now has a portrait of yourself as a chubby fancy man of the past in their home.
We’ve got another don’t-open-the-door-too-wide scenario here. You’re seeing that right – it’s a pin sticky-taped to the door and a strategically placed balloon right behind it. It’s safe to say it didn’t take long for the balloon to pop, and according to the pranker, the person in question “screamed louder than the pop”.
We’re all for a mystery every now and again, but this is plain annoying. Imagine really wanting beans on toast and having to play Russian roulette with your tins every time. You might end up with sliced peaches for all you know.
Just what you want to see when the boss is on vacation: a cardboard cutout of him that looks worryingly like the real thing. A guy set this up to fool his coworkers on the first day his boss was supposed to be away. That’d get people panicking like nothing else!
This is one of those pranks within a prank where you’re pranked into thinking you’ve been pranked worse than you actually have. Follow? You’d think there was a room full of balloons behind that door, but they’re actually just taped to the window to give that appearance.
54. Stranger on the toilet
Nope, this isn’t a real person on the toilet – it’s just an artfully arranged combination of clothes. It’s safe to say this guy got the fright of his life when he entered his bathroom in the morning. If you lived with a roommate like this, you’d be scared to turn the lights out at night.
You’d think this was the work of an angry fellow motorist, but it’s actually “innocent fun”. According to a comment beneath this post, “This is a common thing fellow employees do when sending off a Trader Joe’s employee that is transferring stores or leaving the company.” Most annoying prank ever!
If you’ve ever had these mini balls of Kinder goodness, you’ll know what a disappointment this prank would be. Grapes are fine and all, but they’re not a patch on chocolate. You’d be totally fooled for a second, too.
If you’ve ever been a college student, you’ll know that finding people asleep in the library is pretty much the norm. What
isn’t quite so acceptable, however, is falling asleep with
Fifty Shades Of Grey open on the table in front of you. This guy set his sleeping friend up to make it look like he was mid-read when he stopped for a kip.
This person clearly knows what it means to be a rebel in all senses of the word. Writing on the whiteboard with the very color of marker pen he was asked to avoid?! Someone call the police!
When this guy came back from vacation, he discovered a ginormous present waiting for him in his office… if only the items behind the gift wrapping weren’t all things he already knew all too well. One thing’s for certain, judging by the choice of wrapping paper, he’s certainly a fan of princesses.
Let’s face facts, the worst pranks are the ones that involve food. When this guy’s mates said they’d left him a slice of pizza, it was like Christmas had come early. Until, that is, he opened the box and saw this. Yeah, thanks, guys.
After this year’s obsession with hand gel, can you imagine if someone tried this prank? They’ve switched hand gel with lubricating jelly. Stunts like that will land you in prison nowadays.
This person works at a vet hospital and couldn’t resist this April fool’s joke. He placed an Amazon box with a note taped on top in the entrance to his hospital. The note explained that there were bunnies inside that needed a home, – but as it turns out, they were nothing more than edible marshmallow bunnies.
It’s always tempting to have a bit of fun with the office intern, which is exactly what this person did:
“My coworker changed our intern’s background to the Blue Screen of Death when he forgot to lock his workstation before taking a bathroom break. Many unnecessary reboots took place before he figured out the ‘problem.’”
This guy still think that his new plant is a cactus. It’s actually a pickle that is replaced by a new one every 2 days… It’s been like that for 2 weeks now. The question is, who is actually bothering to replace the pickle, and why? It’s funny, but you’ve got to have too much time on your hands for that.
65. Filled the photo frames
And finally, this comedian who worked at TJ Maxx put a picture of himself in every single photo frame. He’s thought his shots out pretty well… not. They’re all the same selfie. The customers will have a great time looking through these frames – he might even help make a sale!
