Early in the morning, this family’s beloved cat was returning through the doggie door. Although this time the cat wouldn’t be alone. There would be an unexpected visitor popping in to say hello.

These CCTV cameras were set up in the home at the front door to provide another layer of security. We’ve all seen videos of security camera footage before and sometimes it catches the funniest things in the perfect moment.
In this case, the intruder isn’t a robber, but another animal you wouldn’t expect to see in your home.
The owners of the home had installed this doggie door to the front door, so their pets could have easy ample access to the front yard. When they had put in the door, they didn’t realize that it would invite a little curious animal that didn’t belong.
After the cat comes back inside, a deer fawn appears coming through the doggie door.
Only just a mere minute after the cat had entered, this baby deer came on in through the door welcoming itself to the warm home. The fawn had probably seen the cat enter the door and curiosity took over.
It had to see what was behind the white door, of course!
The baby just fits through the door with ease.
According to Wild Republic, Fawns are generally the size of a large housecat, but with really long legs. As you can see the baby deer is too tall for the door, but it managed to figure out how to get in by folding its knees to contort through.
Meanwhile, the owners have no idea the surprise that had just entered their house.
They are definitely in for a shock when they come out and see who’s making themselves at home.
Typically the wild animals that tend to come through doggie doors are smaller creatures like squirrels or raccoons. It’s not very often that you get a deer coming on in. In fact, it’s actually very rare.
Deers tend to be very wary of humans and are easily spooked in general. It’s very interesting that the fawn bravely came through the door.
After sharing the footage with a deer magazine, it went viral on the internet.
The YouTube channel the video was posted on is a magazine publishing company by the name of Deer and Deer Hunting (D&DH). They concentrate on all deer and deer hunting relating topics. D&DH is apart of Media 360 LLC, which is a company based out of Waupaca, Wisconsin.
Although their main focus is writing articles and providing documentation about deer, their YouTube channel is a platform with an array of clips.
On the page, you’ll see videos of informational things like deer hunting tips to entertaining and funny videos that are submissions from fellow deer enthusiasts.
These owners shared the footage with Deer and Deer Hunting for the world to see.
This viral footage has over 4 million views on YouTube.
If you go to the comment section, a lot of people had some brilliant and hilarious commentary in regards to the video.
Although, we will never know the outcome of what happened to the baby deer.
Was it the owner’s cat that brought the deer in or did it just see the door?
We will never get the answers as to how the fawn ended up in the house.
We also have no idea where the baby deer’s mother is. According to The Wild Life Center of Virginia, fawns are left alone while mothers go out to feed. Sometimes they end up wandering a bit from the spot their mother left them. That might’ve been the case with this brave little deer.
Hopefully, the fawn was released and it was reunited with its mother.
